ABOUT MYSELF

College of Architecture and Construction No. 7, Specialty: "Installation and Design of Heating, Water Supply, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems"

In general, my first introduction to welding, like most people, was when my parents told me not to look at it when I was a child. At that time, I was interested in folk dancing. Then I had some problems with my legs, and I had to stop dancing.

After finishing the ninth grade, I went to study at College of Architecture and Construction No. 7, majoring in "installation and design of ventilation, heating, and air conditioning systems." I chose this direction because I decided to follow in my grandmother's footsteps - she also studied this specialty.

During my second year, we had a welding practice - take an electrode and start welding. I didn't expect it, but I did it, and I liked this profession, it became interesting to me.

At that time, the WorldSkills movement was actively developing, and I set myself a goal - first, to become the best in college, and then to win the championship. I looked at the seams of world champions and really wanted to repeat them, so I started training a lot. In general, I had never participated in competitions before, and it was very unusual for me. To become the champion in my native country, I trained a little over a year. Then I got into the international team and continued my training for the European championship. It was very difficult, especially when the pandemic started, but we coped and took the gold at the European championship.

They say I am the first female welder to receive a medal in the entire history of WorldSkills competitions. I am very proud of this because welding is not an easy job, but there are many highly skilled female welders in the world who often weld better than men.

While preparing for the championships, I became friends with other competitors and experts, and we organized our own welding school. Now I am a welding instructor.

At RWT, our goal was always not just to become like our competitors, but to become better. At first, we traveled a lot and observed our rivals from other countries, and then we constantly trained at home to understand where we could excel. That's how we developed our own system for training welders, which has no analogues. Winning multiple championships, we proved that it works.

My goal now is not to receive another medal, but to create something that can help the industry. That's why I started teaching other specialists, and together with my colleagues, we developed our own software - a system for testing skills and a system for monitoring education.
